Bradlaugh Fields and Barn is proud to announce the application for the Green Flag award has now been sent in! ‘RAISING THE STANDARDS OF PARKS AND GREEN SPACES
WE NEED YOUR HELP!
The scheme was set up in 1996. It recognises and rewards green spaces in England and Wales that have met the required high standards. We are very pleased to put in the application, supported by the local park ranger – Vikkie Maloney, Idverde, the council parks department, and many volunteers, and would like you to join us in achieving this award and being proud of your wildlife park.
To gain this award a lot of hard work has gone into preparing the wildlife park for assessment and this work continues . There is still a lot of work to be done but it is important to know judges can fail the application in these TWO IMPORTANT areas:
- DOG FOULING – there is a growing number of dog fouling especially in the hills and hollows – anyone knows stepping on dog mess is extremely unpleasant – and on rare occasions can cause nasty infections.
PLEASE PICK IT UP – it is easy not to notice if your dog has fouled but please be aware and clean it up. The onsite ranger will issue on the spot fines. - GRAFFITI – please be vigilant – if you see new graffiti appear please inform the ranger or Northampton Borough Council direct on 0800 555111 or you can report it online. https://mycouncil.northampton.digital/reportIt.html
